This is a quotation from their website. It shows what they have to asses before rating the film. These rules are applied to films in producing DVD's, Blue-Ray player, and in cinemas This is to ensure the safety of younger viewers in watching something offensive.

Sci-fi Films Classification Certificates:

The Avengers ----------- 12A
The Hunger Games -----PG

The producers/cinematographers have to take into account the assessment of the examiners from certain companies such as BBFC. From this research it shows that on average a 15 age rating is enforced.
